Angie and Bobbi are our two East Friesian dairy sheep. East Friesian sheep came to North America in early 1990. German breed. Highest producing milk breed. Sheep milk is more nutritious than cow and goat. We use it for cooking and making yogurt, butter, ice cream, etc. You can freeze sheep’s milk for a year. We will use their milk if they have a bottle baby—nothing better to bottle baby lamb than sheep milk. We do have to shear them once a year.
Angie’s Twin Ewe Lambs
The ewe lambs are Katahdin/ EF cross. We breed our East Friesians to our Katahdin ram. The ewe lambs can be used for milking or breeding to hair sheep again.
